West Ridge of Paisano Pinnacle/North Face of Burgundy

Route name: West Ridge of Paisano Pinnacle/North Face of Burgundy

When you climbed it last: Try to climb it once a year, at least.

Short description of route/experience: A classic, moderate Grade IV link-up and one of the best multi-pitch alpine rock routes in the state.

Why you like it: Quality North Cascade granite climbing with a stellar position and a dash of east slope adventure.

Gear needed: 1 60m rope and standard WA Pass rack.

Experience level required: It ain't as much of a mystery as it used to be but it's still a "bag of tricks" alpine route the minute you leave the car.

Best time of year to climb: June to October.
