We are so excited to offer a Japan skiing experience for our 2018 "rotating tap" ski tour. Join Larry Goldie and Josh Cole across the ocean for the trip of a lifetime.

Our goal with the itinerary is to maintain good flexibility to find the best snow conditions and begin easy to overcome what can be challenging jet lag in traveling all the way to Japan. We have rented a 4wd, 9 passenger van that we will be using each day to follow the snow and find the best skiing.

Day 0 - Jan 13th - arrive in Sapporo and transfer to Black Diamond lodge. From the Sapporo airport, you can grab a bus to Niseko and then the lodge has a shuttle service and can pick you up in Niseko.

Day 1 - Jan 14th - Ski in the Niseko area. This could include the Kiroro Resort, which can offer amazing side country as well as really good touring from their parking area. The BD lodge offers free shuttles to Onsens (hot springs) in the evenings. The lodge will be providing dinners and breakfasts for us. They also have a guiding operation that Josh and I will be interfacing with to help us dial in the best options each day.

Day 2 - Jan 15th - Spend another day ski touring in the Niseko area. This could again be near Kikoro or on the lower slopes of Mt Yotei, or Mount Shiribetsu. More Onsens in the evenings!

Day 3 - Jan 16th - A final, shorter touring day near Niseko, before an afternoon transfer to the Northern Star lodge in central Hokkaido. This will be our base for the remainder of the trip and will allow us many, many options each day.

Day 4 - 6 - Jan 17th - 19th From our new home base, we can ski many of the classic areas in Central Hokkaido. Some of the best options here include Mt Tokachi and Mt Asaki. There are more than enough options from this lodge to keep us busy!

Day 7 - Jan 20th - We will pack up in the morning and do a final tour, before heading back to Niseko. When you are scheduling a flight home, its best to fly home on the morning of the 21st. We have reserved a hotel for this night that will make transferring to the airport as simple as possible.
