In what continues to be the best winter in recent memory,
Steve Luther and Dick Eitel joined Larry for yet another fantastic
day of skiing on Delancy Ridge. With its wide variety of terrain
options, easy access, old growth timber, Delancy is hard to
beat for a ski touring destination.
As with most days this season, there was about 10" of
new snow and not a track to be seen!

| Here Steve and Dick tour up with views
up toward the Cutthroat drainage and Washington Pass behind
them. |
| |
| Steve slightly higher on the ridge, just
before the group's high point. |
| |
| A long time skier, Dick shows Larry a
thing or two about going light! |
| |
| While the skiing was great, it was the
company that made the day unforgettable for Larry. Here
Dick, (78 years old!), skis the powder with ease and grace. |
| |
| No youngster himself, Steve rips down
with his trademark smile. |
| |
| Steve grabs a breath in between face
shots. |
| |
| A bit lower on our first run, Steve enjoys
some low angle powder turns. |
| |
| Dick comes charging in to the group while
Steve reminds him to "act his age!". |
| |
| We took a second run as the skiing was
so good. Here Steve drops in through some big trees. |

We had great skiing all the way back to the road. Here
Dick figure 8's Larry's tracks on the final pitch.
It was an inspiration to spend the day with two lifelong
skiers that continue to value the experience of a great
day in the mountains.
