1. The first step is to contact us and let us know what you would like to do and on which dates. Here we can discuss different options, answer any of your questions and match you up with a guide for your trip. Feel free to give us a call or fill out the online form at the bottom of this page.
2. Next Download our registration form , fill it out and return it to us by mail, email or fax. We will need this form complete with medical information and payment info before we will consider your trip booked. At this point we will send you all pertinent information related to your trip.

Deposit and Payment Schedule

SCHEDULED PROGRAMS: 50% deposit due at time of booking with balance due 60 days prior to course

PRIVATE PROGRAMS: 1 day program - full amount due at time of booking

Multiday programs - 50% due at time of booking with balance due 30 days prior to start of trip

Cancellation Policy

We have tried to create a cancellation policy that strives to be fair to all parties. With enough notice, a trip can be canceled and a full refund minus a small administrative fee can be received. As the course start date draws closer, it becomes more difficult to find other work for the guide who has committed to the trip, and thus there is the loss of some of the course fees. In some circumstances a raincheck may be offered. In most situations, there will be a $50 handling charge to cover credit card processing fee and administrative fees. The rest of the cancellation policy is as follows:

SCHEDULED PROGRAMS: more than 90 days prior = Full refund of deposit; 90-60 days prior = 50% refund of deposit ; less than 60 days = no refund

PRIVATE PROGRAMS: 30+ days = Full Refund of deposit, 14+ days = 50% Refund, under 14 days = 0 Refund

Trip insurance

In order to protect yourself from the loss of non refundable deposits, many people choose to purchase trip insurance from one of the many companies offering this service on the internet. It is usually between $7-12 per day of your trip and can cover all of your expenses such as plane tickets, lodging, guiding fees, etc., in the event that you have to cancel a trip at the last minute or even during the program. NCMG highly recommends this for all trips, especially international trips! Some of the most reputable companies offering this service are Travelex or Travelguard, though many more can be found with a web search.

Equipment

North Cascades Mountain Guides will provide all the necessary group and instructional gear. Participants provide their own clothing, food and personal climbing equipment (unless where noted). Rental gear is available from either North Cascades Mountain Guides, Winthrop Mountain Sports, or Feathered Friends in Seattle.

North Cascades Mountain Guides is very pleased to be able to offer it's clients a discount with Feathered Friends. Since 1972 they have been producing world-class down parkas and sleeping bags; They also run an excellent retail shop located in Seattle. There you'll find some of the best climbing, mountaineering and backcountry skiing equipment around. If it's rentals you need they have everything from skis and skins to plastic boots and crampons. Give them a call at 206 292 2210 or visit them on the web at http://www.featheredfriends.com Clients will receive a 10% discount on the purchase of regularly priced goods and a 20% discount on rentals. But as knowledgeable as they are they don't read minds, so you have to tell them you're with us to get that deal. If you have any specific gear questions please be sure to talk to your guide.

North Cascade Mountain Guides is operated under special use permit with the Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest.
