Introduction to Alpine Rock

This two-day course is designed to take you from rock climbing at the gym or the crags to the the high mountains.  Topics covered include multi-pitch climbing, removing protection, rappelling, belaying the leader plus many other necessary skills.  Day one will take place at a crag in the valley and day two will involve an alpine rock climb such as the Becky Route on Liberty Bell or  the South Arete on South Early Winter Spire.  Read more……

This three-day course is designed to introduce people to the necessary techniques needed to perform an efficient crevasse rescue.  The course also gives the participants the skills to safely travel on glaciers.  Topics include knots, hauling systems, snow and ice anchors, rope management and travel techniques.  Course locations include Silverstar Mountain, Mount Shuksan and Boston Basin.  Read more……
